Friday January 7th, 2011, the Association des Paysans de Vallue (APV) has inaugurated a project of production of yam for 1,000 families. This project is financed by CECI for US$ 38,000.00 (1,520,000.00 Gourdes) and by APV for US$ 14,915.00 (596,600.00 Gourdes). The objective is to help the farmers to get access to yam seeds, in order to implementing this culture as an economic path and a product in the alternative tourism program at Vallue.
